The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintenance of streets, alleys, water, sewerage, maps, bridges and viaducts. Staffed by 24 dedicated personnel, Public Works operates through five general activity divisions. Today the Street Division, Utility Division, Fleet Maintenance Division, Engineering Division, and Administrative Bureau work together to provide the city with community services throughout the year. The department's members comprise over 216 years of public works experience.
