DEAR VISITOR:

Thank you for your interest in Zion. Whether you are here for business or to enjoy our many recreational amenities, I'm sure you will notice that Zion is a place worth visiting time and time again.

Zion is home to several championship quality golf courses, the most visited state park in Illinois, a first-rate hotel and convention center, miles of sandy beaches and a vibrant downtown business district.

Also, the city is host to events that draw thousands of people from all over the Midwest, such as the Nostalgia Days Classic Car Show, the Jet Ski Championship and the Festival of Lights holiday celebration.

Zion is a place where history buffs can spend the day learning about the Shiloh House, the elegant 25-room mansion built by the city's founder, the Rev. John Alexander Dowie or the interesting street names, which were taken from the Bible.

Should you choose to visit Zion, I hope you will enjoy the small-town feel combined with modern conveniences. Please return to this site, as we will continue to update it with all local events of note in Zion. If you have any questions about things like places to eat or shop while planning your trip to Zion, please call the Zion Chamber of Commerce at (847) 872-5405.

Again, thank you for your interest in Zion, and we hope to see you soon.

Sincerely,

CAROL REUSCH
President, Zion Chamber of Commerce
