Located in Zion, Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwest Regional Medical Centers is one of the premier providers of cancer care in the world. It offers traditional treatment, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery. More than 100 physicians representing more than 32 specialties are affiliated with CTCA.

Patients often visit CTCA for long-term treatments, requiring patients and their families to visit Zion for weeks at a time.

The Midwestern Regional Medical Center has entered a partnership with the citizens of Beach Park, Winthrop Harbor and Zion called Coalition for Healthy Communities (CHC). The CHC sponsors health fairs, a speakers bureau and publishes materials to enhance the education and awareness of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in our schools, public forums, elected offices and professional law enforcement agencies. For more information on how you can get involved contact Scott Murphy at (847) 746-1202 or write Coalition for Healthy Communities, P.O. Box 624 Zion, IL 60099.
