The Campaign for a Healthy Rhode Island is using its capacity building grant
to build its coalition and work on tobacco excise taxes as well as:
Develop, empower, and facilitate leaders from diverse communities
to be active participants in the fight for healthy communities.
Increase access to health care programming to provide coverage for
treatment of tobacco illness, cessation programming, and access to health
care.
Utilizing CDC Best Practices, undertake a series of initiatives that
will educate the public about the need for improvement in tobacco control
and prevention, address youth access and clean indoor air, and work
to effect appropiate policy changes to improve tobacco control, prevention,
